UOI is one of the biggest Olechemical factories in the world and has been built on an area of 18 hectares, located in Special Economic Zone (KEK) Sei Mangkei, Blok M, N, R, S Huta VI District of Bosar Maligas, Simalungun, North Sumatra, Indonesia, where 30% of equipment manufacturers using domestic products, the plant is designed to process CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil) and 95% of the products will be used by Unilever factories around the world.

Posisi :

Innovation Engineer

Job Description :

Manage operational agenda in Innovation department (pilot plant & laboratory), including trial reporting, manpower scheduling, housekeeping, raw material & product testing & management.

Duties and Responsibilites :

1. Operational laboratory and pilot trial management:

Prior to trial: lab scale/pilot scale trial protocol creation, trial and manpower scheduling, coordination to related team (utility, laboratory analysis), ensure trial to comply to Unilever's safety & hygiene standard, arrange raw materials requirement.
After trial: trial reporting.

2. Lead new product development initiative league involving every plant in UOI.

Requirement & Qualification :

Bachelor Degree of Chemical engineering or related field
Minimum 2 years experiences.
Have in-depth knowledge in Oleochemical industry
Have good leadership, self-discipline, attention to detail, integrity, and high standard to safety.
Have good understanding of general oleochemical or soap critical process & quality parameter.
Have good understanding regarding basic laboratory analysis principle, reaction mechanism, and basic stoichiometry.
Fluent in English and familiarity in SAP is a plus.
Ready to work from site in Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, North Sumatra
