UOI is one of the biggest Olechemical factories in the world and has been built on an area of 18 hectares, located in Special Economic Zone (KEK) Sei Mangkei, Blok M, N, R, S Huta VI District of Bosar Maligas, Simalungun, North Sumatra, Indonesia, where 30% of equipment manufacturers using domestic products, the plant is designed to process CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil) and 95% of the products will be used by Unilever factories around the world.

Instrument & Control Supervisor

Job Description

Champion in promote and implement UOI HSE policies and project requirement.
Monitor day to day contractor site work according to job requirement.
Support the Assistant Manager (AM) Instrument & Control with coordination of work from electrical discipline as per project needs.
Assist contractor QC Instrument & Control in the request for inspection (RFI) to obtain acceptance of executed works.
Monitor as-built drawing and mark-up with the site work changes as agreed with UOI’s engineering consultant.
Coordinate with contractor for sequencing of works to be executed.
Ensure correct storage and preservation of material construction until installation.
Provide feedback to AM Instrument & Control for achieved progress, provide technical assistance and implement project construction work process, procedure, schedule, manual and system, ensuring contractors are implementing the latest AFC drawing’s revision, specification and procedures.
Ensure compliance with UOI statutory procedures, quality and safety standards including any defined recording and reporting procedures. Monitor and perform technical audits, in progress inspections, testing and surveillance activities to ensure that project quality requirements are being met.
Work in cooperation with Completions team and process commissioning, perform system identification and turnover of completed project facilities including preparation of necessary turnover documentation.
Participate in Constructability reviews and studies to optimize design.
Propose modifications to engineering design and interpret drawings, specifications and other technical documents to the subcontractors.
Support in review of Technical Queries (TQ) by contractor.
Make sure ITR’s are timely completed.
Coordinate with contractors during their assignments on the jobsite.
Monitor generation of materials requisitions (MR), receipt of materials, and preparation of material summary reports.
Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, sketches of completed work, material requirement calculations etc.
Check mill certificates of critical material to verify composition, quality and strength requirements are in accordance with requirements.
Review design drawings with fabricator to determine spools that can be preassembled in the shop before shipment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Instrument Engineering.
At least 10 years experience in construction.
Understand international electrical standard, hazardous area classification, Ex-proof.
Communication in Bahasa Indonesia & English.
Computer literacy, data and email (Outlook).
Basic CAD / Sketch.
